Asked most
Can I make the AI assistant sound like my brand instead of a generic robot?
Absolutely — you pick the personality. Friendly, professional, playful, upscale, direct, whatever fits, plus an industry-specific setup so it talks like someone who actually works at your company, not a script read off a card.
Can Xblu help with both strategy and execution, or just one?
Both. Xblu is built to handle strategy and execution together, since separating the two often leads to plans that don’t actually get implemented well. Having one team responsible for both means the strategy is grounded in what’s realistic to build, and the execution stays true to the original plan.
Do I need a large team or in-house marketing department to work with Xblu?
Not at all. Xblu is built around direct senior-level access — you work with 26 years of hands-on experience and Accenture-level strategic discipline, without layers of account managers or junior staff between you and the work. It’s a leaner, more efficient model: senior judgment applied directly to your business, backed by modern AI-driven execution that lets one expert operate at the output level of a much larger team.
Do I need Carma CRM to use the Xblu AI Assistant?
No. The assistant works on its own and emails every lead to you. Carma CRM is an optional add-on for businesses that want to track and follow up on those leads in one place instead of digging through an inbox.
Does my team need new logins to use Carma CRM?
No. Carma uses your existing WordPress accounts, so anyone who manages leads just logs in to your site like they already do. No new app, no new password.
Does Xblu build websites, or just market them?
Both. Xblu builds and rebuilds websites as part of its core service, and also handles the SEO, content, and marketing strategy that drives traffic to them. Keeping both under one roof means the site itself is built with marketing and search visibility in mind from day one, instead of being retrofitted later.
Does Xblu offer ongoing support after a website launches?
Yes. Launch is treated as a starting point, not a finish line. Xblu offers ongoing support for updates, SEO maintenance, content additions, and adjustments as a business’s needs evolve.
How do I get started working with Xblu?
The best starting point is a conversation about where your business currently stands and what you’re trying to achieve. From there, Xblu can recommend whether an audit, a focused project, or a broader digital systems engagement makes the most sense.
How does working with a solo, senior-level operator differ from working with a big agency team?
With a solo, senior-level operator, every part of the strategy and execution runs through one experienced point of contact instead of being divided across junior staff and account managers. That means fewer miscommunications, faster decisions, and consistent judgment applied across the entire project. It also tends to mean a leaner cost structure without sacrificing quality.
How does Xblu approach SEO differently than most agencies?
Xblu treats SEO as one part of a larger digital system rather than an isolated service sold on its own. That means technical SEO, content strategy, and site architecture are all built to work together from the start, instead of being bolted on after a site is already live. The goal is sustainable visibility, not short-term ranking tricks.
How does Xblu help a business show up in tools like ChatGPT or Google AI Overviews?
Xblu structures website content — including FAQs, schema markup, and clear, well-organized copy — specifically so AI tools can easily read, understand, and cite it. This includes writing content in a direct, quotable format that answers real questions clearly, which is exactly what AI search tools look for when generating answers. It’s a deliberate content and technical strategy, not a guessing game.
How does Xblu help with visibility in AI search tools like ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews?
Traditional SEO alone isn’t enough anymore. Xblu builds content and site structure specifically to be cited by AI search tools — using structured data, clear answer-formatted content, and technical accessibility so platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews can find, understand, and reference your business directly.
How does Xblu measure success for a campaign or project?
Success metrics are defined upfront based on what actually matters to the client’s business — whether that’s leads, traffic, search rankings, AI search citations, or conversion rate. Xblu avoids vanity metrics that look good on a report but don’t move the business forward. Progress is tracked against those agreed-upon goals throughout the engagement.
How does Xblu price its services?
Pricing depends on the scope of the engagement, whether that’s a single audit, a full site rebuild, or an ongoing marketing system. Because Xblu operates lean with senior-level expertise on every project, clients typically get more direct value per dollar than they would from a larger agency with more overhead. Specific pricing is discussed after understanding a client’s goals and current digital footprint.
How involved does a client need to be during a project?
As much or as little as makes sense for the client. Some clients want to be closely involved in reviewing strategy and content along the way, while others prefer to set direction up front and let Xblu run with execution. Either way, updates are kept clear and regular so nothing moves forward without the client’s visibility.
How is Xblu's AI assistant different from a regular chatbot?
Most chatbots are glorified FAQ buttons that break the moment a visitor asks something unscripted. Xblu’s AI assistant is set up with your actual business—your services, FAQs, approved information and tone—so it holds a real conversation instead of dead-ending into “I don’t understand.”
It’s also told to stay inside what you’ve approved: no made-up pricing, policies or promises. When a question needs a human, it points the visitor to your team.
How long has Xblu been in business?
Xblu has been in business for over 26 years, making it one of the more established independent digital firms in the Chicago market. That longevity means deep experience across multiple eras of web technology, search algorithms, and marketing channels. Clients benefit from strategy that’s been tested across real economic cycles, not just current trends.
How much does an AI website assistant cost?
It depends on your site, your industry and how much customization you want—so instead of a generic price table, the fastest way to get real numbers is a quick, free consultation. Interested in the Carma CRM add-on too? We’ll price both on the same call.
Is the Xblu AI assistant secure and safe for my website?
Security isn’t bolted on after the fact. Rate limiting, spam protection and content moderation run quietly in the background on every conversation, and your AI provider key stays on your server—it’s never exposed in a visitor’s browser.
If you add Carma CRM, captured leads are stored in your own WordPress database rather than on a third-party platform.
We already use a CRM. Is Carma CRM still useful?
Carma is built for businesses that don’t have a CRM, or that find theirs too heavy for day-to-day lead follow-up. If you’re happy with your current CRM, the assistant can keep emailing leads to you as it does now. Talk to us about connecting the two.
What does a typical engagement with Xblu look like from start to finish?
Most engagements start with an audit or strategy conversation to understand where a business currently stands and where the gaps are. From there, Xblu builds a prioritized plan — whether that’s a site rebuild, SEO overhaul, or ongoing marketing system — and executes it directly with the client. Communication stays direct throughout, since there’s no account manager layer between the client and the person doing the work.
What does Carma CRM do with a lead?
It saves the visitor’s contact details, what they asked for and the full conversation with the assistant, then emails you an alert. From there, you can move the lead through stages (New, Contacted, Qualified, Won or Lost), log calls and notes, assign an owner and set a follow-up date so nothing slips.
What industries does Xblu typically work with?
Xblu has worked across a wide range of industries over its 26+ years, with particular depth in small and mid-sized businesses looking to modernize their digital presence. The firm’s strength is less about any single vertical and more about applying a proven systems-based approach to whatever industry a client operates in. Each engagement starts with understanding the specific competitive landscape of that business.
What is a Digital System Score, and how is it calculated?
A Digital System Score is a way of evaluating how well a business’s digital presence — website, SEO, content, and AI visibility — is working together as a connected system, rather than scoring each piece in isolation. It looks at gaps, inconsistencies, and missed opportunities across the full digital footprint. The score gives a clear, simple starting point for prioritizing what to fix first.
What is AI search visibility, and why does it matter now?
AI search visibility refers to how well a business shows up when people ask questions through tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Google AI Overviews, rather than typing a traditional search query. As more people get answers directly from AI tools instead of clicking through search results, businesses that aren’t structured to be “read” and cited by AI risk becoming invisible in that channel. It’s quickly becoming as important as traditional SEO.
What is the Xblu AI Website Assistant?
It’s a smart, always-on chat assistant built right into your website. It answers visitor questions instantly, day or night, and collects contact details from people who want to talk to your team—so an interested visitor at 11pm doesn’t have to wait until morning to reach you.
Add the Carma CRM add-on and every lead it captures lands in a simple tracker inside your WordPress dashboard, conversation and all.
What is the Xblu Digital Systems Framework?
The Xblu Digital Systems Framework is a proprietary methodology for connecting a business’s website, SEO, content, and marketing into one cohesive system rather than separate, disconnected efforts. It’s designed to identify gaps and inefficiencies across a client’s digital presence and prioritize fixes that compound over time. The framework is the backbone of how Xblu approaches every project, from a single audit to a full rebuild.
What kind of businesses is the Xblu AI assistant good for?
Contractors, manufacturers, restaurants, healthcare, retail, transportation — it flexes across industries, because a good sales conversation adapts to the business, not the other way around.
What makes Xblu different from a typical digital marketing agency?
Xblu operates as a digital systems company rather than a traditional agency, meaning we build interconnected strategy, web, and marketing systems instead of one-off deliverables. With over 26 years of operating history, we bring a level of senior judgment and pattern recognition that’s hard to find in agencies staffed by rotating account teams. Every engagement is led directly by senior-level expertise, not handed off to junior staff.
What platforms does Xblu build websites on?
Xblu primarily builds on WordPress, which offers the flexibility and plugin ecosystem needed to support custom functionality, SEO best practices, and ongoing content updates. The platform choice is always made with long-term maintainability and search performance in mind, not just initial launch speed.
What size of business does Xblu typically work best with?
Xblu works particularly well with small to mid-sized businesses that need senior-level strategy but don’t need (or want) a large agency team and the overhead that comes with it. These are often businesses ready to modernize their digital presence but want a direct, accountable partner rather than a layered agency structure.
Where is my Carma CRM lead data stored?
In your own WordPress database, on your website. It isn’t sent to an outside CRM service, and you can export your leads to a spreadsheet whenever you like.
Why does Xblu call itself a "digital systems company" instead of an agency?
The term “agency” often implies a menu of disconnected services — a logo here, an ad campaign there. Xblu’s approach is different: every piece of work is treated as part of a larger system designed to work together and reinforce results. The “digital systems company” framing reflects that strategic, integrated approach rather than a checklist of deliverables.
Will an AI assistant replace my staff or feel impersonal to visitors?
No — it’s built to work like your best front-desk person, not replace one. It handles the repetitive questions instantly so your team gets to focus on the conversations that actually need a human.
Will an AI chat assistant actually generate more leads for my business?
That’s exactly what it’s built for. Every conversation is designed to move a curious visitor toward booking a call, requesting a quote or asking the question your team would’ve missed at 11pm on a Sunday.
Results depend on your traffic and your offer, so we won’t promise a number. But a website that answers back gives you a shot at leads a static contact form never sees—and with Carma CRM, none of them get buried in an inbox.
